The San Francisco Disaster Preparedness Coalition for Animals (SFDPCA), which includes the San Francisco Animal Care and Control, PAWS, Pets Unlimited, San Francisco Veterinary Medical Association, San Francisco SPCA and Vet SOS, mailed pamphlets describing ideas about how to create a disaster plan for your companion animal(s) to over 90,000+ San Francisco residents in January 2007.
In the event of a disaster in San Francisco, your plan for your pet's safety will allow the City's emergency resources to concentrate on hot spots and other priorities. Taking the time to plan for the safety of your pet in an event could make a difference in human and animal lives saved.
NOTE: We apologize if you received multiple brochures. The mailing list was a one time merge of the SFDPCA combined lists that may have resulted in multiple brochures being mailed to the same resident. That list was destroyed immediately after the mailing.
