Consider a 'gift certificate' for that special someone that you would like to give a cute animal to. Animals that are given as gifts are sometimes not properly matched with the individual, resulting in pets being surrendered to the shelter. Gift certificates can be purchased at the front counter.
A gift certificate is the price of an *Animal Care and Control cat or dog adoption -- $100. We always discourage giving animals as gifts, so a 'gift certificate' is a great alternative. People can puchase a 'gift certificate' and dress it up with some fun pet supplies, etc., then the person receiving the gift can come and pick out their own pet-match that suits their lifestyle.
Gift certificates also include the initial vaccination, microchip, spay/neuter, and a free first-time examination with an outside Vet, within three-days of adoption.
